International PhD Fellowship Program "Cologne Graduate School of Ageing Research"
During the last decade, the Cologne/Bonn area has emerged as a leading research centre dedicated to ageing research. This includes the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing, the Max Planck Institute for Metabolism Research, the Center of Advanced European Studies and Research (caesar) and the University of Cologne Excellence Cluster on Stress Responses in Aging-Associated Diseases (CECAD).
In 2013 they proudly announced the merge of the International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS-AGE) and the CECAD Graduate School to form the “Cologne Graduate School of Ageing Research”. As a result, they are now able to offer an even more dynamic and interdisciplinary research environment for PhD students to investigate the ageing process and its associated diseases.
This year again, they are looking for new candidates for this graduate program which offers a maximum of 15 fellowships to highly motivated and talented students. Students have the opportunity to select a laboratory of their choice within the program and to receive comprehensive training in ageing associated research as well as skills in scientific writing, presenting and career development.
Talented and motivated students who will have finished their M.Sc. by October 2015 are welcome to apply!
