Autor: -sb-

This unique international programme is offered by a consortium of four internationally renowned universities: the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim (NTNU) as the coordinating institution; Blaise Pascal University (UBP), Clermont-Ferrand, France; the Scientific University of Szeged, Hungary (SZTE); and the University of Roehampton, London, UK (URL), in connection with their ground-breaking Masters in ethnochoreology/dance anthropology.

This Master in Dance Knowledge, Practice and Heritage investigates dance and other movement systems (ritual practices, martial arts, games and physical theatre) as Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH).

Choreomundus aims to:

  • develop an appreciation of dance that is comparative,cross-cultural, applied, and embodied.
  • enable students to make sense of intangible heritage within the post-colonial culturally diverse world of the 21st century.
  • offer the concepts and tools to engage with the safeguarding of the world’s Intangible Cultural Heritage.
  • prepare graduates for employment in the cultural, heritage and tourist industries including festivals and museums, as well in educational contexts dealing with cultural transmission at local, regional and national levels.
  • train graduates to undertake doctoral research.
