Microsoft Select for education

Minister Education, Youth and Sports PhDr. Miroslava Kopicová signed theAcademic Select Plus contract with Microsoft on 10.6.2009.

This particular contract follows all of the previous Select for Education contracts, which gave the opportunity to receive Microsoft products at the best prices to all of the academic institutions of the Czech Republic.

Academic Select Plus is an unlimited contract enabling schools to sign up and order licenses according to their internal IT needs. Further information can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/cze/education/licence/academic_select/

Palacký University bursar Ing. Henrieta Kotlebova signed the Academic Select Plus contract on behalf of the university on 31.10.2009. Ing. Rostislav Nepožitek (rostislav.nepozitek@upol.cz) is the guarantor of this contract. Furthermore, ASP contract was prolonged for three more years in 2012 and it is prolonged automatically for another year since then.

Computer network administrators are, in most cases, responsible for the installation of Microsoft software products. Computer Center is responsible for evidence and invoicing for contract distributor, which is usually AutoCont CZ a.s.

NOTICE: Academic Select Plus only enables purchases of OS upgrade (older version being OEM or “box” license), but not purchase of OS for new computers.
